Lime Gree Finish WP is a mineral top coat render designed for use with Warmshell external wall insulation systems. Made from Hydraulic Lime and natural and recycled aggregates, Finish WP offers an eco-friendly solution. Please contact us for lead times.
Finish WP is a decorative, weatherproof, pre-coloured topcoat render suitable for woodfibre boards. It is applied over Meshcoat (previously Prepbond WP) undercoat and features exceptional water resistance while remaining highly breathable. This unique combination protects and preserves the insulation underneath.
Packaging
- Available in 22kg bags, Finish WP comes in a variety of textures and colours. Refer to the colour chart for options.
- Each bag bears a batch code, colour, and texture reference.
Coverage
- Approximately 1.5kg per millimetre of thickness per square metre.
- One 22kg bag covers about 2.9m² at a 5mm thickness.
- Wastage allowances are not included.
Surface Preparation
- Apply to a flat, previously keyed basecoat of Prepbond WP.
- The substrate should be flat, with a tolerance of ±3mm per metre.
- Lightly dampen the surface with a gentle mist of water before application.**
Mixing
- Mix one 22kg sack with approximately 4 to 5 litres of clean water.
- Use a suitable render spray machine or a drill with a whisk attachment, mixing for 5 to 10 minutes until a consistent, lump-free mixture is achieved.
- Maintain consistency in elevation or throughout the workday.
Application
- Finish WP must be used within an hour of mixing; reworking is not possible.
- Do not add extra water, as this alters the colour.
- Apply when the base coat has cured sufficiently, in a uniform thickness of 5mm.
- Avoid building out or levelling with Finish WP.
- Use a light mist spray for surface hydration if needed.
- Finish with a trowel, wooden float, or sponge in gentle circular motions for a textured finish.
Curing and Protection
- To prevent rapid drying, lightly spray the base coat if environmental conditions are hot or dry.
- Protect the work from harsh weather, such as frost, rain, and direct sunlight.
- Covering with damp hessian, fixed to the wall, can slow drying and provide additional weather protection.
