Treatex Cedar Oil is designed for use on timbers such as Cedar and Larch. Great for unfinished surfaces such as cladding, doors, windows and exterior joinery. The oil penetrates deeply into the surface of the timber and attaches to the wood capillaries to provide protection against extreme climate conditions.

Manufactured on a base of sustainable raw materials which include sunflower oil, safflower oil and soybean oil, Treatex Cedar Oil is the perfect choice for you and the environment.

  • Easy to apply
  • UV resistant
  • Highly Water resistant

Preparation

  • Treatex Cedar Oil is designed for use on unfinished timber. Previous finishes that will stop penetration or are flaking must be fully removed before application.
  • Timber must have a moisture content below 18% and the ambient temperature must be between 8oC and 25oC whilst applying the oil. Moisture of the wood can be tested with a good wood moisture meter.
  • We strongly recommend that you try a test application prior to starting the project.

Application

  • Stir tin thoroughly before and during use.
  • Use a brush or roller to apply Treatex Cedar Oil thinly and evenly in the same direction as the wood grain.
  • Leave to dry for approximately 12 hours
  • Apply a second coat.
  • Leave for a further 12 hours to dry completely.
