Treatex - Douglas Fir Protection
Treatex Douglas Fir Protection is an external wood finish designed for use on douglas fir and similar timbers. It is perfect for garden furniture, fences and other exterior joinery.
The oil penetrates the surface of the timber attaching to the wood capillaries to provide superior protection against extreme climate conditions.
Manufactured on a base of sustainable raw materials which include sunflower oil, safflower oil and soybean oil, Treatex Cedar Oil is the perfect choice for you and the environment.
Coverage: 1 litre will cover approximately 15m2 (one coat depending on timber and method of application)
Drying Time: 12 hours (approx)
Please be aware that Treatex Douglas Fir Protection is not suitable for tannin rich woods such as Oak. For timbers high in tannins, we recommend Treatex External Oak and Treatex External Oak Protection.

Treatex Douglas Fir Protection is designed for use on unfinished timber. Previous finishes that will stop penetration or are flaking must be fully removed before application.
We strongly recommend that you try a test application prior to starting the project.
Use a brush or roller to apply Treatex Douglas Fir Protection thinly and evenly in the same direction as the wood grain. Leave to dry for approximately 12 hours then apply a second coat. Leave for a further 12 hours to dry completely.
