Brand: Thermafleece

Thermafleece Cosywool Flexible Slabs are denser than rolls and sized to provide an extra-tight friction fit in walls and roofs, providing excellent thermal and acoustic performance.

Made from 75% sheep wool, 15% recycled polyester, and 10% polyester binder with a high recycled content, the Cosywool slabs offer the benefits of sheep wool while remaining very affordable and non-itchy insulation. A truly sustainable insulation manufactured in the UK, using British Wool.

Cosywool slabs have high acoustic insulation properties and are great for partition walls, campervans and as part of a soundproofing system.

Sheep wool insulation has a very low embodied energy and acts as a moisture buffer, absorbing and releasing excess moisture (it can absorb up to 30% of its weight at 100% relative humidity). Like all Thermafleece wool products, it is long-lasting, safe to handle, itch-free, and can contribute to a healthier indoor environment by acting as a moisture buffer and absorbing indoor pollutants, such as formaldehyde, in the building fabric.

This product may smell 'sheepy', which becomes more apparent when in close proximity. If you are sensitive to this, please consider another product. However, given time to air, any smell will dissipate.

If you are unsure how much you require, please call us on 01239 777009 or contact us for a quote. Please note: Prices are per pack.

Availability: This product is generally manufactured to order, so please allow time for manufacturing and delivery; this typically takes 5-10 working days. Delivery timescales offered at checkout are not possible. Small quantities are usually in stock for faster delivery, but please contact us to check availability.

*2026 Update* - Thermafleece advises against using Cosywool in Saunas.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for Cosywool (pdf)

EPDs are a way to determine and publish the environmental impact of products and cover a range of aspects, including embodied carbon, measured as the product's Global Warming Potential (GWP). The data on the Thermafleece Cosywool, Ultrawool, and SupaSoft insulation EPDs are published for the thickness required to achieve an R value of 1, enabling easy comparison with other products.
