A decorative render available in a wide range of colours. Tradirend offers excellent durability and performance due to its breathable yet water-repellent properties.
Tradirend is a high-performance render made with natural hydraulic lime, white cement, sand, and additives, carefully formulated for durability. Typically used as a finishing coat of 6 to 15mm, it only requires the addition of water.
Tradirend render is available in a variety of attractive colours and textures for enhanced aesthetic appeal.
Grades:
- RG = Regular Grade: Typically uses sand graded 0-2mm. This product is intended for general use, providing a smoother and more uniform finish. It works well as a finishing layer over base coats such as Lime Green Ultra or Duro.
- CG = Coarse Grade: Uses a coarser texture, intended for thicker, more textured finishes.
Packaging
- Packaged in 25 kg paper sacks with a shelf life of 6 to 8 months when stored in a dry, cool place.

Coverage
- Approximately 1.7kg per mm of thickness per square metre.
- One 25kg bag covers approximately 3 m² at a thickness of 5mm.
- Does not include wastage allowances.
Surface Preparation
Tradirend is suitable for backgrounds such as Lathrend. The surface must be level, well-keyed, and dampened to manage suction.
Mixing
- Mix one 25kg sack with approximately 4 to 5 litres of clean water.
- Mix for 3 to 10 minutes without reworking.
- Working time is 1 to 2 hours.
Application
- Apply over a suitable basecoat, such as Lathrend, ensuring the surface is clean, hard, and mechanically sound.
- Dampening the background prevents rapid water loss.
- For scraped finishes, apply approximately 8mm and scrape back to 5mm; for floated finishes, apply 5 to 6mm thick.
- Avoid levelling up or building out with Tradirend, as uneven thicknesses can cause colour variations.
- Work continuously on the entire elevation, finishing only at corners or natural breaks (e.g., behind downpipes).
- Do not use in temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C, and avoid application in direct sunlight.
- Use appropriate finishing techniques such as scraping, sponge floating, casting, or spraying.
- Do not overwork or polish Tradirend.
Curing and Maintenance
Prevent rapid drying by lightly spraying the base coat if conditions are hot or dry.
Protect the render from harsh weather conditions like frost, rain, and direct sunlight.
Using damp hessian fixed to the wall can slow down drying and provide weather protection.
