Keim Lotexan is suitable as a water-repellent protective treatment for mineral renders, fair-faced concrete, prefabricated concrete elements, exposed aggregate concrete, calcareous sandstone and fibre-cement boards.

Keim Lotexan is a clear, dust-suppressant, water-repellent, siloxane-based treatment for use on alkaline mineral substrates such as concrete, brickwork, and new cementitious and lime-based renders.
When applied, Keim Lotexan soaks into the substrate and, due to its very small molecular size, coats the pores of the mineral structure. A chemical reaction occurs, converting the siloxane into a silicone layer on the substrate's pores, providing water repellency while maintaining vapour permeability.
Keim Lotexan is a beneficial alternative to silicone, which has a much larger molecular size and tends to fill the pores rather than coating them, reducing breathability and leaving a shiny appearance on the surface.
