At Celtic Sustainables, we've always believed that business can be a force for good. Since 2008, we've helped homeowners, self-builders and construction professionals create healthier, more sustainable homes through carefully selected environmentally responsible building products, practical advice and technical expertise.
As of July 2026, we're proud to be a 100% employee-owned business.

This means the business is held in an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) for the long-term benefit of the people who work here. This EOT ownership model reflects the values that have guided Celtic Sustainables from the very beginning: balancing commercial success with positive outcomes for people, communities and the environment.
When founder Dr Glyn Hyett began planning for the future of the business, he wanted to ensure that Celtic Sustainables would remain independent, protect local jobs and continue serving customers with the same commitment to quality, sustainability and expert advice. Employee ownership provided the ideal solution.
Rather than selling the company to an external buyer, ownership was transferred to an Employee Ownership Trust, allowing the business to remain true to its purpose while giving employees a shared stake in its future success.
"From the beginning, Celtic Sustainables has been about more than simply selling products. We've always believed that businesses can be a force for good by helping people make more sustainable choices while creating meaningful employment and supporting local communities. As I considered the future of the business, I wanted a model that balanced profit with people and planet. Employee ownership felt like the natural next step. It allows us to protect our values, keep jobs here in Cardigan and recognise the contribution of the people who have helped make Celtic Sustainables what it is today."
— Dr Glyn Hyett, Founder
We would like to thank Cwmpas for helping us transition to an EOT with their advice and support.
As a 100% employee-owned company, every member of our team has a shared interest in the long-term success of the business. This encourages collaboration, accountability and a commitment to delivering the highest levels of service to our customers.
Our mission remains unchanged: to help people build healthier, more energy-efficient and environmentally responsible homes while creating lasting value for our employees, our customers, our local community and the planet.
Employee ownership isn't simply about who owns the business, it's about protecting our values, investing in our people and building a sustainable future for generations to come.
