Silguard is an advanced, highly permeable treatment specifically formulated for lime and mineral-based surfaces. It effectively reduces water infiltration and surface dusting, serving as an excellent alternative to traditional acrylic sealers for various lime plasters, renders, and limewash applications.
This product contains waterglass and siloxane compounds that slightly harden dusty surfaces and impart water-repellent properties. It is suitable for protecting unpainted mineral substrates such as Lime Green Solo and can enhance water resistance in external renders or limewash after compatibility testing. Silguard is designed to maintain breathability, ensuring that water vapor can escape while safeguarding the surface.
Please note: Silguard is not suitable for use on bare masonry, gypsum-based materials, walls with salt contamination, retaining walls, or surfaces with hydrostatic pressure, damaged or cracked render, or plaster.
