Lime Green's Natural Finish Render is a beautiful external lime finishing coat, which incorporates hydraulic lime and marble aggregates to give the finished render a durable and attractive appearance.
Natural Finish is available in a range of colours and textures, and doesn't require any further painting. A natural water repellent in the render protects against the elements whilst retaining the breathability of a traditional lime render.
The Natural Finish Render can be used as a protective coat over the Lime Green Duro or Lime Green Ultra base coats and externally as the finishing coat for the Warmshell woodfibre insulation boards.
Packaging
- Natural Finish External Render is available in 22kg bags.
- We can fit 46 bags on a single pallet (1012kg)
Coverage
- Approximately 1.5kg per mm of thickness over 1m².
- One 22kg bag will cover approximately 3.5 to 4 m² at 4mm thick. This does not include any allowance for wastage.
Mixing
- Add the entire bag of premix into a drum or a forced-action mixer, carefully avoiding excessive dust.
- Mix with clean water: add only 3.5-4.5 litres of clean water per bag.
- Mix for at least 10 minutes using a drum mixer, or alternatively, use a mechanical whisk for 3 minutes.
- Stand for 10 minutes, then mix again.
Application
- Apply over a previously applied undercoat, such as Lime Green Ultra or Duro.
- Once the basecoat has hardened but is still 'green', dampen the surface with a mist spray, then apply Natural Finish in a thin coat (maximum 4mm).
- Finish with a float or sponge
- Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C.
Curing
- Prevent all coats from drying out too rapidly.
- Lightly spray each coat with water if it is hot or if the product is drying too quickly.
- Protect from adverse conditions such as frost, rain etc.
- Adequate curing of a final decorative coat should be more stringent, ideally using a fully sheeted scaffold when outside.
