Celebrating National Allotments Week 2026

National Allotments Week returns from 10–16 August 2026, with this year's theme, "Grow to Learn – Lifelong Lessons from the Allotment." At Celtic Sustainables, we couldn't agree more. Whether you're growing vegetables, wildflowers, or simply your gardening knowledge, there's always something new to learn from spending time outdoors.
We're proud to be a nation of passionate gardeners, and this week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the positive impact that gardening has on our health, wellbeing, and the environment. Why not visit a local allotment open day, get involved with your community, or inspire the next generation to discover the joys of growing their own?
One of the easiest ways to garden more sustainably is by harvesting rainwater. Installing a water butt, using guttering to direct rainfall into storage, or repurposing containers are simple ways to reduce mains water use while giving your plants the naturally soft water they love. Regular maintenance and thoughtful watering can also help create healthier, more drought-resilient gardens.
At Celtic Sustainables, we're passionate about practical solutions that support both people and nature. This year, after taking part in No Mow May, we left the grass around our showroom to flourish—and it quickly became a haven for pollinators and wildlife, reminding us that even small changes can make a big difference.
Celebrate National Allotments Week
Since 2002, National Allotments Week has inspired people across the UK to grow their own food, connect with their communities, and enjoy the many wellbeing benefits of gardening.
Why not get involved this year? From open days and workshops to family-friendly activities, there's something for everyone. Check out the official National Allotments Week website to find events happening near you and discover how you can join the celebration of growing, learning, and gardening together!

Rainwater Harvesting Kits & Accessories
Collecting rainwater is only part of the equation; the right filters and accessories help ensure the water you store is cleaner, your system works more efficiently, and maintenance is kept to a minimum. A quality rainwater filter prevents leaves, moss, and debris from entering your water butt, reduces odours and sediment build-up, and allows you to make the most of every rainfall while protecting your storage system.
Whether you're installing your first water butt or upgrading an existing rainwater harvesting system, our range of filters, diverters, connectors, pumps, and accessories has been carefully selected to help you get the very best performance.
Browse the collection to find the perfect solution for your garden, and if you're unsure which product is right for your setup, get in touch with our team, we're always happy to offer friendly, expert advice and help you choose the ideal system.
