Description

A great general purpose, pre mixed, lime mortar, suitable for building, pointing and rendering.

This mortar is a mix of coarse (5mm down), yellow flint sand and Mature lime putty which dries to a buff/beige, finish.

Suitable for:

Building
Pointing
Render and plaster base coats

Instructions

This mortar is supplied pre-mixed and ready to use. If the mortar feels a little stiff, it is recommended to mix/turn-over the mortar before adding any water. If after 5-10 minutes of mixing the mortar is still a little dry, carefully add water in small amounts until required consistency is obtained.

Available in 20kg resealable plastic tubs. Also 25kg and 1 Tonne bags.

Never used lime mortar before - in fact never done any pointing before... used this (minus the water on top of the tub when opened as suggested by another review) to point up rubble stone walls in my cellar. Despite being a total rookie this was easy to use in the larger and smaller gaps - took days to go off as its quite cold in the cellar but made it easy to knock back and finish over time without needing to rush. I have another pot and another bit of wall to do - getting better as I go
