Pro Clima Contega Solido SL is an interior airtight tape designed for sealing window and door frames and membranes at masonry junctions (such as wall-to-floor and wall-to-ceiling) before plastering. Its fleecy backing provides an excellent surface to adhere to when adhering to wet plaster.
Application Areas
Contega Solido SL is perfect for sealing membrane perimeters to primed masonry walls using Pro Clima Tescon Sprimer for loft or suspended timber floor insulation refurbishments. Its fleecy top layer provides a strong key for plaster application, completing the airtight seal.
- Suitable for stable concrete, plaster, masonry, blockwork, bricks, timber, PVC, and aluminium.
- It's ideal for plastering over.
- Window and door sealing tape that is also used for post-installation sealing of windows and doors.
Contega Solido SL is applied with pressure, for a safer and improved method of applying the tape, consider a ProClima PressFix Applicator, a tool for smoothing and pressing tapes to membranes and substrates, intended to make application easier whilst protecting your hands from injury (splinters, staples, nails etc) and protect the membranes and tapes from tears.
Functionality
Contega Solido SL is Passivhaus certified and part of the Pro Clima Intello Plus system. It ensures airtight sealing of windows, doors, and masonry junctions by effectively sealing gaps between window or door frames and walls or membranes, preventing air leakage.
Advantages
- Ease of installation: Installing after window or door placement simplifies the process, with up to 20mm of tape adhering to the frame's front surface.
- Superior alternative: Offers a permanent, airtight solution compared to expanding foam, which may degrade over time.
- Prevents air leakage: Ensures airtight sealing around window and door openings, key areas for potential air leakage.
- Enhanced plastering: Excellent for sealing masonry wall junctions before plastering, maintaining airtightness even if cracks develop in the plaster.
System Warranty
Pro Clima provides a limited system warranty for its products, supported by public liability insurance. A 10-year warranty is available when used with approved thermal insulation materials and Pro Clima products, and a 6-year warranty is offered when used with other manufacturers’ products.
