Renosil Coarse is a durable, breathable mineral paint designed for exterior facades, serving as a coarse primer in the Beeck Renosil External Paint range. It features a 0.4mm grain size that effectively conceals surface flaws, hairline cracks, and helps smooth out underlying layers of existing paint.
Beeck has been producing high-quality mineral coatings from natural, sustainable ingredients for over 125 years. Unlike traditional paints that form a film, Beeck’s mineral coatings bond chemically with the substrate through a process called silicification, resulting in a coating that is highly durable, long-lasting, and highly breathable.

Coverage
One kilogram covers around 4 square metres on surfaces with a smooth to medium texture. For the finishing coat, it's recommended to use Beeck Renosil Fine Mineral Paint. This product is ideal for solid masonry and modern building styles.
Application
When applied, these mineral paints penetrate and bond with the substrate, creating a stable, breathable coating that allows moisture vapour to escape. This breathability makes Beeck Mineral Paint suitable for heritage buildings with solid walls, as well as contemporary constructions.
As a coarse base layer, Beeck Renosil Coarse features a 0.4mm grain to conceal imperfections and small cracks, and to promote an even surface over existing paint layers. The Fine Mineral Paint can double as both base and topcoat if the substrate is free of flaws.
This product is suitable for outdoor use on surfaces like lime or cement render, concrete, bricks, natural stone, and existing paint that is in good condition, well stuck, and not peeling or dusty. Use a good-quality brush or roller for best results. Expect to cover about 4 square meters per litre, per coat, on smooth or medium-textured surfaces. Keep in mind that coverage can change depending on the surface and how you apply it.
Preparation
Before starting, clean the surface thoroughly by removing dirt, biological growth, or loose materials. Mix 10% of Beeck Fixative with Beeck Renosil Coarse paint and stir well. For porous surfaces like bare lime or cement, or previously limewashed areas, apply Beeck Fixative first to help the coating adhere better.
If there are lime deposits or bloom on the surface (sinter layer), clean it with Beeck Etching Fluid before painting. After applying and drying Beeck Renosil Coarse, add a top layer of Beeck Renosil Fine.
Wait at least 12 hours for each coat to dry. Avoid painting in bad weather such as frost, rain, or extreme heat. The temperature should be above 8°C. Don't use in salty environments.
