Pro Clima Orcon F is a highly adaptable and durable sealant designed to ensure airtightness and wind proofing in building applications. This flexible, adhesive sealant can be used indoors and outdoors to effectively seal membranes and airtight components, with a longevity of up to 100 years. Uses
This premium acrylic sealant is ideal for sealing airtight and windproof membranes on a wide range of substrates, including concrete, brick, plaster, wood, hard plastics, rust-resistant metals, chipboard, OSB, plywood, and MDF. It forms a strong, dependable bond with these surfaces, ensuring robust airtightness.
Functionality
Orcon F creates a permanent bond between airtight membranes and various building surfaces. It is especially effective for sealing vapour barriers to concrete floors and other common construction materials. Thanks to its elastic properties, it remains flexible over the building’s lifespan, maintaining airtightness at critical junctions without hardening or cracking like traditional silicone sealants.
Application Instructions
Start by thoroughly cleaning the area to remove dust, debris, grease, or silicone residues. Apply a bead of 5-8mm thickness, taking care not to flatten the seal during membrane attachment to preserve its elasticity. For rough or uneven concrete, priming with Tescon Primer RP or Tescon Sprimer can enhance adhesion.
For installation of timber battens, their high adhesive strength and quick drying properties eliminate the need for pressure treatment. When installing blown-in insulation, battens support the insulation and help prevent undue strain on the sealant, preserving the integrity of the airtight barrier over time.
