How to attach a hosepipe with click-connect to a garden tap

3P Chrome Tap with Click-Connector attachedWe’re often asked by our customers, how they can attach a hosepipe with click-connector/snap-on connector fittings, to the 3P Technik Chrome and Brass Bib taps, that are shipped with many of our water butts, and so we’d like to show you how...

Our ¾” Brass and Chrome Bib Taps are supplied with a ¾” metal hosetail on the outlet as standard. This enables the user to push a garden hose [of the right diameter] directly onto the hosetail.

However, if you would like to use a click-connector system instead, that’s also easy to do…

Step 1 of how to fit a click connector to a garden bib tap

First of all you will need to unscrew the metal hosetail with washer, to separate it from the tap…

Steps 2 and 3 of how to fit a click connector to a garden bib tap

Next, you will need a Male Click Connector and Reducer with a 1” screw thread. These can be purchased from our Celtic Sustainables website.

Remove the green female section of the reducer by simply unscrewing it from the grey part of the fitting (this green part is not required).

The remaining grey male Click Connect hose fitting can now be screwed onto your Brass or Chrome Bib tap. It’s now ready to use with your garden hose with click connector female fitting.
