Submersible Irrigation Pump System for above ground Rainwater Tanks
Our Submersible Rainwater Pump Kits can be used to pump rain collected in your water storage tank for use outdoors, for example garden and polytunnel irrigation, cleaning drives and patios or washing cars and windows. Suitable for all new and existing water storage tanks, including PE, GRP and concrete tanks.
The SteelPump is a cleanwater pump, so when using with Rainwater the water must be cleaned (filtered) prior to the pump. 3P Technik's Compact Filter, combined with their Calmed Inlet and the fine stainless steel mesh on the Floating Intake are an great combination for cleaning the water before it enters the pump.
All the Pump Kits are suitable for new and existing water storage tanks including PE, GRP and concrete tanks (like for example Enduramaxx, Rototek, Wydale and Balmoral).

Filter
A quality water filter is the first step in a professional rainwater cleaning system.
We have specified 3P Technik’s Garden Filter for both the overground kit where the roof area is less than 250m2. 3P Technik’s Garden Filter separates dirt particles and debris from rainwater. The dirt is collected in a plastic mesh basket which is easy to remove and clean.
For above ground tanks storing water from a roof area less than 100m2 we recommend the Filter Collector Universal. The Filter Collector Universal fits your your downpipe and attaches via a hose through the wall of your water tank. The fine mesh filter separates dirt particles and debris washed from your roof from the rainwater. The dirt is washed to waste (or a soakaway) and the cleaned water flows to the tank. The Stainless Steel filter insert is easy to remove and clean.
The Filter Collector Universal comes with a 30cm connecting hose as standard. Other lengths of hose are available, contact us to order a different length hose in your kit.

Calmed Inlet
Inyour rainwater collection tank, any residual particles heavier than water settle to the bottom of the tank. The 3P Technik Calmed Inlet ensures that oxygenated water is introduced to the lower layers of the stored water in the tank without disturbing the settled sedimentation. This oxygen-rich water prevents anaerobic reducing conditions forming in the storage tank and ensures that the water stays fresh.
The Calmed Inlet is not included in the above ground kit for roofs less than 100m2 (GIKITOFC Series).
Floating Intake
The Intake floats just below the water surface (where the cleanest water is found). The Intake’s fine stainless steel mesh filters the extracted by the pump. The intake also has a non-return (check) valve within it. It is complete with a 1m heavy duty suction hose and fittings to attach it to the SteelPump. XAJE80P SteelPump
A professional quality automatic jet-pump, with stainless steel motor body. Submersible and selfpriming, ideal for domestic non-potable water supply. The intelligent pump responds to pressure in the delivery pipe. It turns itself on when there is a demand for water, then switches off again automatically once the demand has been met. The SteelPump comes complete with a Float Switch which turns the pump off if the water level gets too low. This, backed up by the dry-run protection in the pump’s software, ensures a longer life for your pump as it will not run when there is no rainwater in your tank.
Pump to Turret Hose
The 32 mm Pump to Turret Hose connects the pump outlet of your SteelPump to the turret of your rainwater tank. A heavy duty professional grade D50 grommet to seal the pipe going through the top of your tank.
Designed to fit vertical or horizontal PE, GRP or concrete water storage tanks.
Your SteelPump sits on the floor of your storage tank. The internal height of your rainwater tank will therefore determine the length of Turret Hose you require.
