Sheeps Wool Insulation by Thermafleece. Their Cosywool rolls are an easy to use sheeps wool insulation, supplied in compressed packed rolls for quick installation.  Made from 75% sheep wool and 25% polyester, a minimum of 20% of the polyester binder comes from recycled sources. The Cosywool Rolls have all the benefits of sheep wool, while remaining a very affordable, non itch insulation *. A truly sustainable insulation produced using British Wool and manufactured in the UK.

Great for loft insulation, wall insulation and floor insulation. It has high acoustic insulation properties so it is also great for partition walls, campervans and as part of a soundproofing system.

Sheep wool insulation has a very low embodied energy, and acts as a moisture buffer by absorbing and releasing excess moisture (can absorb up to 30% of weight for weight in 100% relative humidity conditions). Like all Thermafleece wool products, it is long-lasting, safe to handle, itch free * and can contribute to a healthier indoor environment by acting as a moisture buffer and absorbing indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde in the building fabric.

We offer some of the cheapest delivery rates for Cosywool in the UK. Small quantity delivery charges to most UK addresses start at £10 while larger quantities will at most cost £15. Delivery to some parts of Scotland and offshore locations do cost more yet remain competitive and can be calculated at the cart. Additions of other products (particularly lime products) to your order might increase the delivery charges beyond this stated £15.

If you are unsure how much you require, please call us on 01239 777009 or contact us for a quote. Please note: Prices are per roll.

Our sheep wool insulation may have a natural "sheepy" smell, which can vary between batches due to the variability of the fleeces used (Some sheep smell worse than others!). Given time and ventilation, this scent will dissipate. Thank you for your understanding. If you are sensitive to this please consider an alternative product.

Further Information

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for Cosywool (pdf)

EPD's are a way of determining and publishing the environmental impact of products and cover a range of aspects including embodied carbon, measured as the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the product. The data on the Thermafleece Cosywool, Ultrawool and SupaSoft insulation EPD's is published for the thickness required to achieve an R value of 1 enabling easy comparison with other products.

Packaging and Waste Management

The rolls come in compressed packs which minimises transport costs. Once unpacked it can take 5-7 days to regain full depth, it will continue to regain full depth in situ.

Cosywool insulation is packaged in plastic wrap made of Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) - number 4 in the recycling triangle code.  This plastic wrap is 100% recyclable and can be recycled along with plastic bags.
