Eco Right Coarse Stuff is a 3 to 1 mix of selected sharp and builders sands plus sieved slaked Buxton quicklime (lime putty). The quicklime is slaked by Eco Right at our production facility and matured for in excess of 3 months prior to blending.
Coarse stuff can be used for plastering, rendering, bricklaying and pointing. The blend dries to a beautiful buff/cream finish and the aggregate content is perfect for period properties. Gentle stippling of the mortar prior to its drying reveals the aggregate and provides a stunning finish for mortar or render.
Coarse stuff is commonly used as the backing coats in three coat plastering work, with Fine Stuff being used to provide the perfect finish. Often, however, a rough coarse finish is required and the coarse stuff is left as the final coat.
